I’ve suffered with a number of chronic health problems since I was eight years old. When the conventional medical system failed to provide effective treatment or relief, I turned to a variety of alternative health practices including acupuncture, chiropractic and naturopathy.

Since quitting smoking approximately one year ago, I was fairly certain that the weight I put on was inevitable and that I would simply have to accept it, or work very hard at exercising and diet to get back to the weight I would feel comfortable at. When I booked my appointment with Roxanne, she had me complete some forms before visiting her. When I completed the "Adrenal and Thyroid Questionnaire", it was quite evident that my thyroid was under active.

At my initial visit with Roxanne, she explained that the foods/drinks I craved the most (coffee and soft drinks), were in fact making my thyroid "lazy" since these foods/drink drive the thyroid thereby keeping it over stimulated and overworked causing the thyroid to burn out and my metabolism to disappear. Now that I switched to healthy coffee & sugar substitutes, and only have coca-cola and coffee as a special treat, I feel amazingly better and have lost weight, without making any other changes to my diet or exercise. I do feel more energy and have recently started to be more active as a result.

Given my health history with Crohn's Colitis, I have visited my share of doctors and specialists and also underwent several surgeries - some rather scary experiences when surgeries went wrong.... I feel that Roxanne is helping me through some of the emotional issues I've had from those years, by way of prayer and natural remedies. I thank God for giving Roxanne her gift of healing, and for my meeting her.
